Day 14, we rested and reloaded! My calves were aching from all the climbing and we need to refill our ration cabinet with goodies for our extended stay. Decided to stay an extra day, so will be leaving on Monday and taking in BATH, VA tomorrow - Saturday, 7/18.
This a.m. we are heading to BATH, VA with no idea about what is going on there, except maybe an art show.
The day started at the amazing downtown Waynesboro cafe - Stella, Bella, and Lucy's ... a combination of cafe, antique gallery, and art gallery. Precious.

Couldn't leave!
BATH - 'More a WASH than a BATH' in VA.
Ok. Today was more of a WASH than a BATH. Sometimes, that just happens - when a day doesn't at all pan out the way it was expected. After 15 days on the road, with full schedules and a pretty tight itinerary; this day resisted all plans.
On the way to BATH, VA, we changed our mind thinking it was just too far for a day trip and returning late just didn't feel like we wanted to put in the time. With that decision, we decided to do a few of the 'attractions' in the area, such as the Natural Bridge, Wineries, etc.
Another WASH. The Natural Bridge was more of a GOUGE than a BRIDGE, so Frank said NO WAY was he going to pay $18 each to walk under a bridge on a public road :)!!!! So, we decided, HECK WITH IT, and headed to the Highway with the Wineries. Little did we know, that it took us very far south and way west, so after 3 hours - I HAD A MELT DOWN. 'Get me home, I want to go home.' (this meant to HITCH).
Home we went, through the winding roads of the mountains .... and straight to bed for a long needed nap. Allergies were full blown by then, stress level was high, emotions on TILT. Ah, finally, nap.

We did see a few nice sights and views as we snaked through the mountains.....
Another attempt in the evening to hear some music at some random place that we couldn't find for an hour and when we did, there was SMOKING ..... forget that, TAKE ME HOME.......
Ah, HOME! Ginger and Captain Morgan .... recliner, computer! Maybe tomorrow ... Me, Happy!
