Colonial Parkway is GORGEOUS and rolls and weaves around the York and James River .... overlooking forests, woods, rivers, trees, and natural inhabitants .... see Bambi!
A beautiful ride from Williamsburg to Jamestown to Yorktown ... and then despite the cloudy and gray day, we really enjoyed the small town of Yorktown .... a perfect coastal community with everything a girl could want .... shops, restaurants, music, beach, walkway ... a little rain scared us away though and we headed back to camp to prepare for an evening of entertainment BACK AT YORKTOWN!!!! with LONDON!

Unable to refuse the hospitable beckonings of our local friend, Becky Watson, of Music4Wellness.....we agreed to step out once again and head back to Yorktown -- minus rain clouds -- to spend the evening at The Water Street Grill on the York River and listen to her friends in the band -- Londonjfk.
Were we happy we did......a nostalgic adventure back to high school days and rock & roll.

A crowded house - had me checking out the drummer's action, through the looking glass !!!!! Here's Tad - good friend of Becky's and fellow DCFG attendee, tearing it up.
How sweet of Becky to gift us two US NAVY travel mugs, as a token of our new connection. It meant a lot to me ... Navy being my history and my core upbringing ... I felt my dad's presence and his smile ... the Navy, just like being Catholic :) ... never goes away .. it's in our blood. THANKS BECKY (retired Navy Captain!!!! )
Ended this 'Leg' in Richmond today ... getting ready tonight to pull out tomorrow and finally head north where it might be a bit cooler!!!!! Shenandoah Valley - first stop, Waynesboro and Charlottesville. Much to see.
Richmond is a big city with lots of action. We were glad to be there on a quiet Sunday to mosey along Cary Street and visit a few historic sites .... lunch at the Tap House after a ride down the River on a Bateau. A leisurely day. Was sorry to miss Arthur Lopez' Drum Event at Sam Ash Music Store, but for the life of us, we could not find it, despite our GPS directions. Another time perhaps!!!
